I’ve always had a deep sense of the importance o I’ve always had a deep sense of the importance of capturing memories. Every time I’ve dragged my family out for a photo shoot, I’ve known that one day they’d be thankful I was intentional, even though we all know family photo shoots aren’t always butterflies and rainbows.

This one was special, though—planned for our 20th wedding anniversary. Dion, always willing to make me happy, went along with it, and I have to say, we really got into it and had so much fun! This photoshoot captures one of my favorite seasons of our marriage. We had no idea what was coming and looking back I wish I could have paused time for just a moment.

Huge thanks to all the amazing photographers who capture these moments we’ll cherish through the years. Our dear friend berninemarie has a gift for capturing the real & raw moments, and I treasure these more than I ever thought I would 🤍

So, I encourage you —— book the photoshoot!

Heading to find some sunshine with the family & de Heading to find some sunshine with the family & determined to travel with only carry on luggage. I’m a chronic overpacker…think I can do it?

I was recently gifted new luggage from monostravel and it’s definitely going to up my travel game and help keep me organized. For this trip I’m using the hybrid carry on, along with compressible packing cubes. I’m so impressed with the quality, warranty and fast shipping!

I get asked daily how we’re doing as we journey I get asked daily how we’re doing as we journey through our first Christmas without Dion. We’re doing it. We’re going through all the usual motions (well, most of them)

We’ve decorated our home, I bought the turkey, and we’re trying to keep all the special traditions alive. It’s a pushing through, a hard push at times, and the joy feels a bit blurred and hard to grasp.

I probably don’t make a lot of sense, but that’s grief. None of it makes sense right now. All I know is that we’re going to lean in. We’re leaning into all the traditions we love. They are him, they keep his memory alive.

It’s joy & sadness and everything in between 🤍
Grief took me down an unwanted path. Like roaming Grief took me down an unwanted path. Like roaming through a forest, getting lost on a route we’re told to avoid. I’m told that there is another side to this forest, perhaps even a grassy meadow. Right now it feels like a dark forest with fallen trees blocking my path. Some days I feel the light break through the trees but most often it feels like winter.

It hurts so much but I want to feel it all. Grief is my reminder that there is so much love 💔

I miss you Dion
Our love was pure and true and forever. I don’t Our love was pure and true and forever. I don’t know how to do this without you. I’m holding onto your best days as my constant reminder of the love we had.

My Dion, I love you, I miss you, I just want to hold you one last time.
