We typically host the holiday dinners at our house and Easter is no exception.

Easter is when I create a spring inspired Tablescape giving a nod to the season with early spring blooms and pastel tones. The week before a holiday dinner is spent prepping the house and slowly setting the table so there is less to fuss over last minute.  Over the years I’ve learned that the more preparation I do in advance, the more time I will have to soak in the festivities and enjoy the day. The Spring Table

My love for neutral decor is no hidden secret and Spring is no exception.  Earthy tones are the anchor for my Spring decor but I do pull in some seasonal blooms and soft pastels as a nod to the early blooms we are surrounded by. I bring in texture with florals, crocheted potholders and coloured glassware.  Play with tones and different patterns and palettes to create interest and focal points.

This Spring I had the opportunity to create a Tablescape in a new space.  Kath from Kathleen Wall Design allowed us to bring pieces from the Shoppe Kindred Spring Collection and create a Tablescape in her beautiful bright and cheery dining room.  I love creating Tablescapes in my own Home but I felt so inspired with this fresh palette to create in.

In addition to the formal dining room, we also created casual everyday dining in her kitchen nook

Kathleen has a beautiful round walnut table with bright white modern chairs just off her kitchen, and we brought some of the same elements we used for the formal dining room Tablescape into a more casual setting.  It was neat to see how our pieces could easily flow from everyday use to a more formal setting.

We hope you feel Inspired
