Happy October! The 2nd best month of the year harrived! (2nd only to December for obvious reasons). Seriously though, October is one of my favourite months of the year and one of my favourite October home decorating tasks is to bring the cozy feels to my front porch.
There are many styles when it comes to Fall Decor, and like most of my decor, I love to keep it as neutral as possible. I thought I’d share the details of my Fall Front Porch for this season in case you might be looking for some fresh inspiration for your own Fall decor. This year I was so excited to decorate my Fall Front Porch because we recently had our exterior painted white. A fresh new canvas!

Pumpkins
There is more to life than a bright orange pumpkin, am I right? Yes, when it comes to carving that Halloween pumpkin, the classic orange pumpkin is the way to go. When it comes to decorating your Fall Front Porch though, I encourage you to have fun with different varieties of pumpkins. There are so many fun shapes, sizes and colours. I love visiting our local pumpkin patches like Coastal Black Pumpkin Fest or Shamrock Farm because they always have so many fun varieties to choose from!
This year I focused on pastel coloured pumpkins and I love the variety!

Fall Planters
Mums the word when it comes to Fall Front Porch planters but it doesn’t have to end there. Mix it up with a variety of grasses, and other seasonal plants and shrubs.
Get creative with your pots and planters. I love incorporating baskets, and this year even added in my antique crocks for a farmhouse feel.

Create Cozy Corners
In addition to pumpkins, and planters, try to find places to bring the cozy. Whether it’s a little bench with a basket of blankets, or some twinkle lights, or even a lantern with a candle. For me, this is always my porch swing area.

I hope this gives you some fresh inspiration as you bring all the cozy feels to your Fall Front Porch
