I love to set up a pretty Tablescape for Valentines as a way to love on my family. We don’t do a lot for this holiday and rarely go out. Instead, we usually make a nice meal to have at home. If Valentines Day lands on the weekend, I love making heart shaped pancakes for the kiddos.
Here is a simple Valentines Tablescape to make the day feel a bit extra.

Salt Dough Ornaments
I have never made salt dough ornaments before and totally missed the boat this past Christmas when it seems everyone was making them! I decided I would re-create a “look” from my Christmas Tablescape and take the same concept for my Valentines Tablescape.
I replaced fresh winter greenery with delicate babies breath, and replaced Christmas cookies with heart shaped salt dough ornaments. I LOVE the finished look and the best part – It was inexpensive! Here is the salt dough recipe I used and then I spent about $20 on babies breath.
I usually start with a concept and then work from there. For this Valentines Tablescape, I wanted the focal point to be the light fixture, florals and salt dough hearts. It’s ok if you don’t have this style of light fixture over your dining room table, try hanging a branch over the table and hang the florals and salt dough ornaments from it!

Everything else I already had! I try to use what I have when it comes to my Tablescape Decor. I started with a beautiful linen table cloth from LinenMe. I love the look of draping linens and this neutral tone was the perfect backdrop for this simple Tablescape.

Then, I simply added my basic white dishes, silver cutlery, and some pretty coral glasses I had from a previous Tablescape.
I grabbed a simple pin stripe napkin and wrapped it with a little wooden heart for an extra touch!

I love adding a little treat to each place setting so I picked up little mini white paper bags from the dollar store, filled them with Hershey’s “hugs” and then closed them up with a cute little clothes pin.
And just like that, Valentines Day feels just a little bit “extra” for my sweethearts

Pin for Later!
