Every year I get so excited to add some cozy touches to our Farmhouse Style front porch. Here is my post from last year. Our covered porch is one of my favourite spots to add some minimal Christmas touches . Our front porch is the first greeting to our Family and Friends so I love to create a little piece of warmth in this space.
This year I’m really tapping into my Norwegian heritage with Scandinavian style and minimal Christmas decor.
Farmhouse Bench
All of my decorating projects start with an item that sparks a vision. Last year I stumbled on this pin and saved it to my Christmas board on Pinterest. I have been dreaming of a bench like that by our front door for a few years and this year my hubby was able to build it! He did an incredible job if I do say so myself;). Its the perfect piece for minimal Christmas decor and really brings that nordic touch that I was looking for with the stacks of wood and fresh greens.
Front Door
Keeping with the minimal Christmas feel, I added some fresh greenery and wreaths to our front doors. I also added some mini trees in wicker baskets. All of the greenery, baskets and wreaths were from a local garden shop – Art Knapp –
Porch Swing
Our porch swing area is one of the coziest spots on the porch and I love to make it even cozier this time of year. We often sit out here with a cozy fire. To make it even more inviting I added a cozy sheepskin and pillows. Add hot cocoa and Christmas music and voila! minimal Christmas perfection!
Creating the feeling of warmth and coziness is so important for me during the winter season. I love how minimal Christmas decor and the mixture of Scandinavian and Farmhouse elements can bring such a cozy vibe.
I hope you are feeling inspired to bring in some minimal Christmas touches to your home.
