My 40th Birthday was last week and I felt celebrated and loved by so many and in so many ways.
About a month before my birthday, my husband asked me what kind of celebration I would love. With covid restrictions I knew that a small gathering would be best and knowing that my hubby is a fantastic cook, (and makes a delicious eggs benny) I suggested he do what he does best!
We also have been working hard on our backyard so I thought it would be fun to utilize our own space for this intimate gathering.
I gave him a guest list and sent him to my Pinterest boards and left it in his hands:) He enlisted a few of my girlfriends to help and what they created was perfection in every way!
Everyone knows I love to plan a party but what a treat it was to have all the details planned and for it to be exactly if not better than I’d have planned it myself:) Such a fun surprise!
Here are all the pretty details:
Bubbly Bar
Perfect for a summer garden party/brunch. My gals Kendal and Chelsea created the most adorable mimosa bar.
Florals
My friend Emily offered to take on flowers and oh my goodness did she ever deliver! She worked with Persephone bloom and not only did they create 3 beautiful table displays but also adorned Emily’s vintage peacock chair in florals as well!
The Table
We all know I LOVE a pretty Tablescape. My husband really went out of his comfort zone and connected with our local party shop to bring my garden party Tablescape dreams to life!
He rented the table, chairs, linens, dishes, glassware and cutlery and the extra special touch was the beach wood rounds that he made which were used as chargers for each place setting.
All I could say was Wow! wow! wow! It was absolutely stunning in every way!
Yummy Food
Perfect for a midday brunch, my hubby made both ham and smoked salmon eggs benny with sides of bacon, sausages, and off course roasted potatoes.
But that’s not all! My party planning team also created a beautiful spread of fruit, veggies, and charcuterie. It was Beautiful!
Friends and Fun
My day started with a surprise pedicure with my friend Joelle and my girls! What fun to be whisked away for coffee and pedicures! We even stopped for a mimosa!
As we were pulling down the street, they made me cover my eyes and then walked me into the backyard to find beautiful smiling faces and the prettiest garden party!
I almost forgot the cake! No birthday party would be complete without a cake! This cake by O M G Macarons was not only super pretty but also so so tasty!
I truly felt so loved, so thought of, so known and truly grateful and thankful for those that helped plan this special day but also to those who came to celebrate – My Heart is Full –
